The Doha December

There were a number of wonderful purchases made in December, so many that I am slowing down tremendously over the next few months.  I am not stopping by any stretch, but I am shifting the focus of my acquisitions from giant Japanese dream pieces that I've been coveting for decades to plugging holes in my G1 packaging list.  So, enjoy this quick recap of my December gains - I sure did!

The BotCon 2005 Virulent Clones & BotCon 2008's SG Ricochet.

Dirge here is sealed to his card, but will need to slip into a different box as this one is a little smushy.
I told the Girl that my Hot Rod needed a bubble, and this was the result:  my X-mas gift.  She wins at gift-giving!

Misfire - The previous owner made a styrofoam tray for him, so I need to track down a bubble for him.

Legends Jazz -
The G1 Legends figures an oddity for their time.  They were exclusive to K-Mart, and featured the 1987/8 digital explosion card background with the 1989 logo typeface.  They also included the decals for their Pretender shells, for which these figures served as the inner robots.  The instructions were modified to find places for the extra decals.  I only have one left to find sealed, that being Grimlock.

ERECTOR!

Moving on to the Japanese G1 pieces...

The Seacons have a special place in my heart, as they were the first combiner team I completed, back on X-mas, 1988.  King Poseidon here is the Japanese version of the team, and came packaged individually and in this very pretty gift set.
Fun Fact: The US Piranacon giftset omitted Nautilator, the lobster guy.

A second Victory Leo?  For sprued missiles and unapplied decals, YES.

This is Roadfire, from 1990's Zone.  He was the last of the Powered Masters to be introduced.

Star Convoy, sealed.   Check out the little Micromaster Hot Rodimus!

Star Convoy (Reissue) for the sake of completeness and good deals.
That's it for December.  It was a big month.  January's shaping up to be fun too, if not so big.  I have my eyes on a couple of real treats.  See you then

Forever Destron.
